The Nehru Trophy boat race is probably one of the most important events in Kerala. In Kerala, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru had the chance of experiencing the tremendous excitement of sailing in a snake boat popularly known as "Chundan". As a token of gratitude, he donated a rolling trophy to be presented to the winner of the Snake Boat Races in future years. Day 01: Delhi/Mumbai - Cochin
After Breakfast drop at Airport to board flight to Cochin. Arrive at Cochin. Our representative at the airport welcomes you and then you will be transferred to the hotel in a private car.

Day 02: Cochin City Tour
Morning proceed for a full day city tour of Cochin, the palm green commercial capital of Kerala; also know as the "queen of Arabian Sea". Visit St Francis Church, Jewis Synagogue, Mattancherry Palace and the Chinese fishing Nets etc.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Cochin - Alleppy
Drive to Alleppy. Upon Arrival board Houseboat for Back Water Cruise across to Alleppy thru the country side of Vembanadu Kayal (Lake).

Day 04: Alleppy
After breakfast, Checkout from Houseboat and proceed to enjoy the Nehru Boat Race. The drum beats and boat songs called vanchipattu that complement these boat races almost work the spectators and the oarsmen into a frenzy of activity and adds a sense of thrill to the entire boat race. The celebrations that mark this annual event include music and folk dance performances and of course the boat race.

Day 05: Alleppy - Kovlam
Morning After breakfast drive at Kovlam, check in your hotel. Day at leisure on the beautiful Kovalam beach.

Day 06: Kovlam
After Breakfast embark on a sight seeing tour of Trivandrum. The tour includes Padmanabha Swami Temple, Museum, and Art Gallery among the other famous attractions.
